While I was gone my para-glider fabric came in the mail. I also spent some of the time before and after our trip finishing up my plans and cutting out the polyester reinforcements (for leading/trailing edges and load triangles). I also cut some small
1 cm strips of the rip stop and did some preliminary break strength testing. I will be doing more precise tests but for now the material appears to live up to its description. It is very strong and very light, the PU coating allows no air to breathe through the fabric.
Next week my work load will be very big, I want to cut out at least half of the ribs by Thursday. I hope to finish all the ribs by the following week and begin sewing.
